I found that my only solution was to get VM and I run it on XP. This game is completely obsolete on my computer! I've made sure my computer is fully up to date. In compatibility mode it didn't offer 8.1 to run the game either. I've ran as an administrator countless times, I even shut it off where it wouldn't require me to click 'run as administrator'.
